“New York, New York” (Homeland Season 6, 2017)

Everyone has that one project that got killed but they love the idea so much they had to keep it. This is my tribute to New York for the sixth season of Homeland.

THE BRIEF

Let audiences know that Homeland would be moving its location to NYC.  Highlight the central role that the city would play in the season arc.

THE STRATEGY

Let the characters of Homeland tell the audience themselves by singing the most iconic New York song.

THE EXECUTION

With the help of an extremely talented editor and electronic musician, I created an eerie New York, New York remix performed by the characters from the series. Hilariously, we obtained the rights (thank’s Frank!) but the show’s creator was not aligned with my creative vision.
